Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued an earnest public appeal to parents and guardians across the state, urging them to administer pulse polio immunisation drops to all children under five years of age. Stalin emphasized that maintaining a polio-free society requires absolute vigilance and universal vaccination coverage. To achieve this, the Tamil Nadu Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine deployed tens of thousands of dedicated immunization booths across primary healthcare centres, government hospitals, anganwadi centres, bus terminals, and railway stations.

The Chief Minister stressed that healthy children represent the true light and foundational strength of Tamil Nadu's future. Under the Dravidian Model administration, public health infrastructure has been systematically strengthened with cutting-edge diagnostics, universal immunization coverage, and community-level outreach programs like Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam. Stalin commended the tireless dedication of thousands of healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, anganwadi employees, and voluntary organizations who mobilized across the state to guarantee that no eligible child was left behind.

Stalin affirmed his administration's steadfast commitment to ensuring universal healthcare access, preventive medical excellence, and child welfare. He reiterated that safeguarding public health from early childhood remains the cornerstone of state prosperity.
