Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin declared that his administration does not treat the delta region with superficial attention during election seasons, but stands permanently alongside farming families through all seasonal and economic challenges. The newly commissioned projects focused on modernizing irrigation canal networks, fortifying river bunds, building modern grain storage facilities, and enhancing rural roads.

The Chief Minister underscored that the Cauvery delta serves as the traditional food bowl of Tamil Nadu, requiring continuous capital investments to withstand climate vagaries and erratic monsoon patterns. Stalin outlined government interventions that ensured record-breaking kuruvai and samba paddy harvests, supported by timely water releases from Mettur dam, subsidized farm machinery, and uninterrupted electrical supply.
