Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conveyed warm greetings on International Women's Day, calling upon society to celebrate women as the architects of a progressive, enlightened world who have shattered centuries of oppressive social taboos. Stalin stressed that the Dravidian Model administration formulates and executes numerous women-centric empowerment initiatives specifically designed to establish a solid foundation for their socioeconomic rise, political representation, and comprehensive personal security across all levels of society.
The Chief Minister highlighted signature policies that transformed everyday life for women across Tamil Nadu, including fare-free travel on state public transport buses, monthly basic income rights under Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai, and higher education assistance through the Pudhumai Penn scheme. Stalin asserted that true respect for women must not be confined to patronizing rhetoric or ceremonial slogans, but must manifest in treating them as equal human beings with shared constitutional rights, autonomy, and decision-making power.
Stalin urged all citizens to join hands in building an enlightened society where gender equality and mutual respect guide every family and institution. He reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue leading India in championing progressive feminist policies that ensure dignity for all women.
