Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin led an extensive multi-departmental inauguration ceremony, launching transformative public works spanning municipal administration, public housing, police modernization, and healthcare. Highlights included handing over dream residential houses to eminent Tamil scholars, presenting the 2022 Kalaignar Ezhuthukol Journalism Award to veteran writer V.N. Sami, and commissioning modern mobile command and control vehicles for state police security. The administration also inaugurated new housing complexes constructed by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board and Housing Board.
In the healthcare sector, Stalin launched an HPV vaccination screening initiative at the Villupuram Government Hospital Cancer Centre, operated in partnership with the Adyar Cancer Institute. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for Sankara Nethralaya's new specialty eye hospital branch in Tondiarpet and formally named a major connecting thoroughfare in honor of late ophthalmologist Dr. S.S. Badrinath. Extensive temple conservation projects under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department were also dedicated to the public.
Stalin affirmed that these wide-ranging projects reflect his administration's holistic commitment to public welfare, social security, and cultural heritage. He reiterated that balanced governance combines civic modernization with deep compassionate care for all communities.
