Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin showcased key governance milestones and announced specialized development projects designed specifically for the pristine Nilgiris district. Stalin emphasized that hill governance demands an exceptional balance between environmental preservation and community prosperity, ensuring that indigenous tribal communities and tea plantation workers receive comprehensive social protections. His administration prioritized eco-sensitive road infrastructure, hill-terrain medical outreach, and specialized drinking water supply schemes across Udhagamandalam, Coonoor, Gudalur, and Kotagiri.

The progress report underscored notable interventions, including modernization of the Government Medical College Hospital in Ooty, expansion of the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme in remote tribal schools, and targeted welfare assistance for small tea growers. Stalin noted that eco-tourism policies have been updated to curb plastic pollution and protect fragile mountain ecosystems while sustaining local hospitality livelihoods. The Dravidian Model approach ensures that remote hill residents enjoy equal access to state amenities.
