Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a pointed criticism against the central government and Gujarat administration, characterizing Gujarat as the drug capital of India amidst continuous, multi-ton narcotics seizures at its maritime ports. Stalin highlighted that massive consignments of banned substances worth tens of thousands of crores of rupees have repeatedly landed at private ports in Gujarat without decisive accountability or dismantling of international trafficking networks.
The Chief Minister contrasted this alarming reality with the politically motivated disinformation campaigns orchestrated by central ministers and opposition leaders against progressive southern states like Tamil Nadu. Stalin pointed out that while the Tamil Nadu police force has maintained stringent vigilance and taken rigorous, non-partisan action against illicit drug distribution under the Dravidian Model governance, central authorities have turned a blind eye to entry points under direct federal jurisdiction.
Stalin asserted that the electorate sees through the hypocrisy of central leaders who deflect from administrative lapses at major ports while lecturing others. He urged voters to support the INDIA alliance on April 19 to establish a responsible Union government committed to safeguarding Indian youth from international drug cartels.
