DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign rhetoric, asserting that public fear consistently followed sudden televised appearances during his tenure. Stalin accused the Prime Minister of stooping to unprecedented lows by making derogatory remarks about citizens' dietary habits during election rallies, a tactic never witnessed under previous national leaders.
Stalin observed that the fear of losing power has driven the Union leadership to incite communal discord and disparage non-BJP state governments. He framed the 2024 parliamentary election as a historic battle over India's foundational values: determining whether the country will continue to be governed by the egalitarian Constitution authored by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar or by regressive sectarian principles championed by the RSS.
Emphasizing the vital importance of preserving secularism, Stalin stressed that true national progress relies on religious harmony, social equality, and mutual respect among diverse communities. He warned that dividing citizens along sectarian lines imperils social cohesion and constitutional protections for vulnerable groups. Stalin called on the electorate to vote decisively for the INDIA bloc to protect constitutional guarantees and defeat divisive political forces across India.
