உலகப் பொதுமறை தந்த வள்ளுவருக்குக் காவிச்சாயம் பூசினார்கள்;
தமிழ்நாட்டின் ஆளுமைகளின் சிலைகள் மீது காவி பெயிண்ட் ஊற்றி அவமானப்படுத்தினார்கள்;
வானொலி என்ற தூய தமிழ்ப் பெயரை ஆகாஷவாணி என சமஸ்கிருதமயமாக்கினார்கள்;
பொதிகை என்ற அழகிய தமிழ்ச் சொல்லையும் நீக்கினார்கள்;

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the Union government for altering the official logo of public broadcaster Doordarshan to saffron, characterizing the move as an overt manifestation of the Bharatiya Janata Party's broader agenda to saffronize public institutions. Stalin stated that modifying the visual identity of national media networks reveals an authoritarian drive toward monocultural hegemony and majoritarian symbolism across the country.
The Chief Minister cited a continuous sequence of cultural impositions, including attempts to paint saint-philosopher Thiruvalluvar in saffron robes, defacing statues of Tamil social reformers, replacing the pure Tamil term Vaanoli with the Sanskritized Akashvani, and dropping the traditional regional channel name Pothigai. Stalin stated that these actions represent deliberate calculated affronts to Tamil linguistic heritage and cultural diversity, designed to erase sub-national identities.
Stalin asserted that these reactionary measures validate the warnings issued by the DMK during the 2024 parliamentary election campaign regarding creeping fascism. He expressed firm confidence that the electorate would rise up against cultural imposition and institutional subversion, asserting that the general election outcomes would decisively reaffirm pluralism, linguistic equality, and democratic diversity across India.
