Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin officially inaugurated a special archival photographic exhibition titled 'Kalaignar Centenary Concluding Reminiscences' at the Secretariat in Fort St. George, Chennai. Organized by the Information and Public Relations Department as part of the state-wide celebrations marking the culmination of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's centenary year, the exhibition showcases rare historic visuals documenting his life.
The gallery displays evocative visual chronicles covering Karunanidhi's multifaceted public life spanning seven decades. Key exhibits illustrate his early participation in anti-Hindi agitations, his pivotal role alongside Periyar E.V. Ramasamy and C.N. Annadurai in the Dravidian movement, and his extensive administrative tenure as a five-time Chief Minister who pioneered landmark welfare, reservation, and infrastructure policies across Tamil Nadu.
Stalin toured the exhibition along with senior cabinet ministers and departmental officials, reviewing photographs capturing Karunanidhi's interactions with national statesmen, literary luminaries, and common citizens. The Chief Minister commended the Information Department for assembling the comprehensive visual archive, observing that chronicling Karunanidhi's tireless service inspires administrative personnel and citizens to uphold democratic values and social justice. The exhibition remains open to inspire students and citizens alike.
