Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for attacking successful state welfare schemes and fomenting divisions between different regions during election rallies. Stalin stated that fear of impending electoral defeat was prompting the Prime Minister to demean progressive state initiatives designed to uplift marginalized families, women, and students across Tamil Nadu and other non-BJP ruled states.
The Chief Minister emphasized that a Prime Minister represents all Indians equally and must foster national unity rather than pitting states against one another through polarizing rhetoric. Stalin remarked that disparaging grassroots welfare programs reveals a fundamental disconnect from the socio-economic realities of working people. He pointed out that Tamil Nadu's welfare model has received widespread acclaim for enhancing female labor participation, nutritional security, and public education.
Stalin expressed confidence that voters nationwide would reject deceptive narratives and divisive tactics when the general election results are declared on June 4. He stated that democratic forces united under the INDIA bloc would triumph, restoring cooperative federalism, constitutional decorum, and compassionate governance that respects regional autonomy and supports inclusive social progress across the country.
