DMK president M.K. Stalin directed party cadres across Tamil Nadu to observe the concluding day of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's birth centenary year on June 3 through meaningful public welfare programs. Writing in his regular epistle to party workers, Stalin urged local committees to fly the DMK red-and-black flag proudly and organize medical camps, student aid distributions, tree-planting drives, and community feeding initiatives.
Stalin connected the centenary observances directly to the impending parliamentary election vote counting scheduled for June 4. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the electorate's verdict would reward the Dravidian Model administration's governance record with a historic mandate, which cadres could honorably dedicate at Karunanidhi's memorial along the Marina beach in Chennai.
The Chief Minister reminded workers that true tributes to Dravidian stalwarts lie in grassroots service and protecting constitutional democracy rather than ceremonial pageantry alone. Stalin encouraged party members to maintain high morale and democratic responsibility, noting that Karunanidhi's enduring legacy of self-respect, federalism, and social justice continues providing moral strength to opposition forces defending regional autonomy across the nation. These principles guide our democratic action.
