Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the rapid modernization of the state's school and higher education ecosystem over the past three years under the Dravidian Model government. Citing official performance data published in regional newspapers, Stalin outlined major technological investments undertaken to modernize classroom instruction, expand digital literacy, and improve retention rates across government and government-aided schools statewide.
Key infrastructure milestones include providing high-speed internet connectivity to 20,332 state-run schools, establishing advanced high-tech laboratories at an investment of 519.73 crore rupees, and setting up 22,931 smart classrooms equipped with multimedia teaching tools. In higher education, targeted welfare interventions including the Pudhumai Penn financial assistance initiative for female college students and the Naan Mudhalvan skill enhancement initiative have steadily boosted collegiate enrollment rates and technical employability.
Stalin commended Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy and School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi for systematically expanding educational access. The Chief Minister characterized these achievements as the foundational stages of a comprehensive long-term roadmap aimed at transforming Tamil Nadu into a knowledge hub, assuring that infrastructural expansion will continue uninterrupted across all districts for all learners.
