Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin formally released a comprehensive three-volume centenary commemorative souvenir chronicling the life, political legacy, and literary contributions of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Compiled by the state Information and Public Relations Department through its official publication Thamarasu, the collection features reflective essays, critical assessments, and memoirs contributed by prominent literary figures, academics, and administrators across Tamil Nadu.
Following the publication release, Stalin inspected a special archival exhibition titled 'Kalaignar Centenary Concluding Reminiscences' organized by the Information and Public Relations Department. The photographic gallery displayed rare visual records capturing Karunanidhi's seven-decade political journey, legislative milestones, social welfare initiatives, and cultural contributions from the Dravidian movement's early street protests to his multiple terms as Chief Minister.
Stalin commended the department's archival documentation, noting that Karunanidhi excelled across every arena he touched, including cinema, journalism, literature, and state administration. The Chief Minister stated that preserving such historical records provides invaluable educational resources for younger generations, illustrating how progressive public policy, social justice ideals, and cultural pride can collaboratively transform modern society for working citizens statewide. These archives preserve state heritage.
