Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin hailed the complete victory of the INDIA bloc across all thirty-nine parliamentary seats in Tamil Nadu and the lone seat in Puducherry during the 2024 general elections. Stalin characterized the forty-seat sweep as a historic rebuff to the Bharatiya Janata Party, which had deployed substantial financial resources, administrative leverage, and extensive media campaigns to secure electoral inroads into southern India.
Stalin declared that voters decisively rejected attempts to rewrite constitutional principles or polarize communities along sectarian lines. He emphasized that the electorate responded to the DMK alliance's positive governance record and principled defense of regional autonomy, social justice, and federalism. Dedicating the clean sweep to former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, Stalin observed that Dravidian ideology provided an effective democratic shield against central authoritarianism.
