DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that a massive state-level convention will be convened in Coimbatore to mark the formal conclusion of the birth centenary celebrations of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. The grand event also serves as a public thanksgiving rally to honor the citizens of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for delivering an unprecedented, historic clean sweep of all forty parliamentary seats to the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance in the 2024 general elections.
Stalin emphasized that the gathering in the western region carries deep political significance, proving that Dravidian ideals of rationalism, federal autonomy, and equitable development resonate across every geographical division of the state.
