DMK was the first to foresee the hazards of #NEET and undertook a large-scale campaign against it.
After coming to power, we constituted a High-Level Committee headed by Justice A.K. Rajan to study the impact of NEET-based admission process. The Committee's report, based on extensive data analysis and inputs from students, parents, and the public, has been published and shared with various State Governments to expose NEET's anti-poor and anti-social justice nature.
Based on the recommendations in the report, a Bill seeking exemption from NEET was unanimously passed by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. It is now awaiting Presidential assent, after an inordinate delay from the Tamil Nadu Governor's side.
As nationwide opposition to NEET grows due to the recent largescale discrepancies, we are sharing the report of Justice A.K. Rajan Committee in English and all major Indian languages for everyone to better understand the ill-effects of NEET.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the nationwide release of the High-Level Committee report chaired by retired Justice A.K. Rajan in English and eight major Indian languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, and Bengali. Stalin noted that while the DMK was the first to foresee the hazardous consequences of NEET and lead sustained public campaigns against it, recent nationwide testing irregularities have conclusively validated the committee's empirical findings on the anti-poor nature of centralized entrance tests.
The comprehensive report, formulated after analyzing massive statistical datasets and thousands of public representations, demonstrated how NEET disproportionately favors affluent urban students who afford expensive private coaching, while systematically shutting out rural and government school aspirants. Stalin highlighted that the Tamil Nadu Assembly unanimously passed a bill seeking complete exemption from NEET based on these recommendations, which currently awaits Presidential assent.
Stalin emphasized that making the report accessible across multiple linguistic communities will help citizens and policymakers nationwide understand the structural damage wrought by hyper-centralized testing. He urged democratic forces across India to unite in dismantling NEET and restoring professional admissions to state jurisdiction.
