Congratulations to Thiru. @narendramodi on being sworn in as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. We hope that, as PM, you will work in the true spirit to uphold the Constitution, maintain the secular nature of our country, promote cooperative federalism, respect states' rights, and safeguard our democracy.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended congratulations to Narendra Modi upon taking oath as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term, while reminding the Union leadership of its constitutional obligations toward state autonomy, secular democracy, and federal governance. Stalin emphasized that the reduced parliamentary majority of the ruling coalition offers an opportunity for the Union government to abandon centralist postures and govern in true harmony with India's diverse federal character.
The Chief Minister urged the Union administration to respect states' statutory rights, foster equitable financial devolution, and safeguard democratic institutions against majoritarian overreach. Stalin noted that national progress cannot be achieved by imposing uniform policies from New Delhi, but requires recognizing regional diversity, consulting state governments on crucial legislative decisions, and protecting the secular foundation enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK-led bloc in Parliament will function as a constructive yet uncompromising opposition, vigilantly defending Tamil Nadu's welfare interests and advocating for progressive social justice nationwide. He stressed that preserving constitutional integrity, democratic debates, and cooperative intergovernmental relations remains imperative for ensuring peace, stability, and equitable development across the Indian Union.
