The Union Government’s attempt to wriggle out of the recent #NEET Scam by agreeing to cancellation of grace marks is another admission of their own ineptitude.
It should not be allowed to divert the attention away from the core problems of irregularities and unprofessional conduct of exams, after taking away the right of States.
While condemning their incompetence as well apathy towards the agony of lakhs of students, we reiterate that the only solution for this issue is to restore the role of state governments in deciding the method of selection for MBBS courses.
DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued an organizational mobilization call to party cadres across Tamil Nadu, urging them to assemble in Coimbatore for the upcoming Mupperum Vizha rally. The grand convention was organized to commemorate the culmination of the birth centenary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, express profound gratitude to the electorate for the sweeping parliamentary victory, and honor grassroots functionaries whose disciplined campaigning secured forty out of forty parliamentary seats.
Stalin highlighted the strategic importance of holding the massive gathering in the western region, historically viewed by political analysts as a challenging political terrain for the Dravidian movement. He noted that the 2024 general election outcome dismantled opposition strongholds, proving that people across all districts unequivocally support the Dravidian Model governance and reject sectarian politics promoted by national and regional adversaries.
The DMK leader emphasized that cadre enthusiasm must be channeled constructively into sustained civic engagement and political preparation. Urging workers to participate in large numbers, Stalin asserted that the Coimbatore assembly will set the ideological tone and organizational readiness required for the upcoming 2026 assembly elections.
