Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the government's dedicated policy interventions supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises on the occasion of World MSME Day. Stalin detailed that since assuming office, the Dravidian Model administration has implemented structural programs to democratize entrepreneurship, modernizing manufacturing capabilities and establishing targeted financial support mechanisms for aspiring business founders across the state.
Key programs highlighted by the Chief Minister include the Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme providing subsidized capital credit, the dedicated Tamil Nadu SC/ST Startup Fund, enhanced state marketing linkages, the Tamil Nadu Coir Policy 2024, and the updated Startup and Innovation Policy 2023. These frameworks have fostered an inclusive industrial ecosystem by extending concessional loans, specialized mentorship, and direct market access to historically disadvantaged social groups and rural entrepreneurs.
Stalin affirmed that MSMEs serve as the primary engine for employment generation, regional industrial dispersion, and equitable wealth creation in Tamil Nadu. The administration pledges continuous technical and financial assistance to help small enterprises navigate market competition, upgrade machinery, and scale productivity, ensuring that sustainable industrial growth underpins the state's broader economic transformation.
