Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated and initiated a wide spectrum of heritage restoration works, devotee infrastructure facilities, and conservation projects executed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department across multiple districts. The initiatives encompass temple car renovations, tank desilting, golden chariot restorations, Annadhanam kitchen modernizations, and comfortable pilgrim amenities at ancient shrines.

Under the leadership of the DMK government, the HR and CE department has set unprecedented records by reclaiming over five thousand crore rupees worth of encroached temple lands. The department has also conducted thousands of traditional consecration ceremonies at historical temples while restoring ancient mural paintings, stone inscriptions, and bronze icons under expert archaeological oversight.

Stalin noted that the Dravidian Model governance demonstrates genuine respect for religious faith by ensuring administrative transparency, immaculate upkeep of sacred precincts, and inclusive amenities for visiting devotees. The government has also expanded archakar training across all castes, realizing the historic social reform dream of Thanthai Periyar.

The Chief Minister commended HR and CE Minister P.K. Sekarbabu and department engineers for executing developmental tasks with dedication. Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue safeguarding historic temples as centers of spiritual practice and architectural heritage.
