During our meeting, we discussed business and investment partnerships in sectors such as logistics, retail, affordable housing, and food processing, with a particular focus on MSMEs and job creation.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin hosted the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, at the Secretariat in Chennai to discuss expanding commercial ties and industrial investments. Stalin warmly recalled their previous productive meeting during his official delegation visit to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in March 2022, describing the Minister as a valued friend and well-wisher of Tamil Nadu.
During the bilateral discussions, both leaders explored strategic investment partnerships across high-growth sectors, including supply chain logistics, organized retail, affordable urban housing, and modern agro-food processing. Special emphasis was placed on integrating micro, small, and medium enterprises into global supply networks to generate sustainable, high-skill employment opportunities for youth across Tamil Nadu.
Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa and senior bureau of Guidance Tamil Nadu briefed the UAE delegation on the state's progressive industrial policies, world-class port infrastructure, skilled engineering workforce, and streamlined single-window clearance mechanisms. Al Marri praised Tamil Nadu's stable governance and investor-friendly climate, expressing keen interest in deepening trade ties.
Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu is rapidly advancing toward its ambitious goal of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy. He reiterated that welcoming international investments reinforces industrial resilience and global commercial connectivity.
