Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin received an operational briefing regarding the search, rescue, and relief missions being carried out by Tamil Nadu teams stationed in Kerala's landslide-ravaged Wayanad district. A high-level delegation headed by two senior Indian Administrative Service officers, along with specialized rescue personnel, is coordinating operations on the ground with Kerala authorities.
Stalin reviewed the deployment of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services teams, sniffer dog squads, medical teams, and earth-moving machinery actively working through debris in affected valleys. He instructed the delegation to convey to the Kerala administration that Tamil Nadu stands fully prepared to dispatch any additional financial, logistical, or medical assistance required during this profound humanitarian tragedy.
The Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of human lives and property caused by the massive disaster, emphasizing the shared fraternity between the neighboring states. He praised the dedication of frontline responders working in difficult mountainous terrain to reach stranded survivors.
Stalin affirmed that interstate solidarity is a cornerstone of cooperative federalism, especially during catastrophic natural disasters. He pledged that Tamil Nadu will continue extending steadfast support until rehabilitation and recovery are achieved.
