DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin penned a heartfelt address to party cadres celebrating the entry of party daily Murasoli into its eighty-third publication year. Stalin revered Murasoli as the eldest child of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and an unmatched repository chronicling eight decades of Tamil Nadu's modern political history.
The Chief Minister recalled that Karunanidhi founded Murasoli in 1942 as a grassroots pamphlet during his youth, transforming it into a formidable journalistic instrument for social reform, rationalism, and Dravidian ideology. Over the decades, Murasoli effectively educated ordinary citizens on constitutional rights, federalism, language pride, and progressive social legislation against regressive orthodoxies.
Stalin noted that the newspaper has continually evolved with the times, introducing modernized layouts, specialized analytical columns, and digital outreach to engage younger generations. He urged party functionaries and cadres across all districts to read the daily regularly, circulate its copies widely, and propagate its ideological message among common people.
Stalin affirmed that Murasoli will forever remain an essential beacon for the Dravidian movement, defending state autonomy and inspiring committed workers across Tamil Nadu to uphold social justice.
