Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated educational infrastructure and community facilities worth 80.70 crore rupees built specifically for Adi Dravidar and tribal students across the state. The newly opened assets include sixteen student hostel buildings constructed at a cost of 32.99 crore rupees to provide secure accommodation.
The welfare package also features fourteen school buildings built with an investment of 15.34 crore rupees, alongside twenty-eight community halls erected at 32.36 crore rupees. Stalin stated that educational infrastructure serves as the primary stepping stone for marginalized communities to overcome historical disadvantages and achieve social advancement.
The state government has systematically prioritized modern amenities in welfare department residential schools and hostels, equipping them with modern learning spaces and sanitary facilities. Stalin reiterated that providing equitable educational environments is fundamental to the Dravidian Model of social justice and inclusive growth.
By expanding dedicated hostels and classrooms in tribal and rural belts, the administration aims to curb dropouts and boost enrollment in higher education. Stalin reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue investing directly in youth education to ensure dignity, equality, and upward social mobility.
