Thank you, Hon'ble @rajnathsingh, for releasing the Kalaignar Centenary Commemorative Coin and showering rich praises on Thalaivar Kalaignar.
You have elegantly highlighted his crucial contributions to Federalism, Indian Democracy, and Tamil Nadu's development. Deeply grateful for your heartfelt tribute to the sun that rose from the South!
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed heartfelt gratitude to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for attending the prestigious ceremonial launch of the hundred-rupee coin commemorating the birth centenary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi in Chennai. Stalin noted that Singh's distinguished presence and eloquent address honoring Karunanidhi's monumental nation-building contributions made the historic centenary event truly memorable, harmonious, and dignified.
In his address during the event, Singh praised Karunanidhi as an exceptional titan of Indian politics, highlighting his unwavering commitment to social justice, federalism, Tamil literature, and democratic values throughout his six decades in public life and electoral politics. The Chief Minister appreciated the Defence Minister for recognizing Kalaignar's role as a bridge-builder who shaped national coalitions while championing state autonomy and welfare governance.

He affirmed that the centenary commemorative coin stands as a permanent testament to Karunanidhi's enduring legacy in shaping modern Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister thanked all national leaders who participated in celebrating Kalaignar's extraordinary lifetime achievements with mutual respect and political dignity.
