Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin shared a proud preview of the special commemorative hundred-rupee coin issued by the Government of India to honor the centenary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Stalin highlighted that the reverse side of the metallic coin features Karunanidhi's legendary inspiring motto, 'Tamil Vellum' (Tamil Will Win), etched alongside his portrait, symbolizing seven decades of tireless service to Tamil language, literature, and social justice for the downtrodden.

The Chief Minister emphasized that inscribing Tamil words on an official commemorative coin minted by the Union Government stands as an extraordinary milestone in modern Indian political and cultural history. It reflects national acknowledgement of Karunanidhi's monumental contributions as an iconic statesman, five-time Chief Minister, social reformer, and champion of federalism and backward classes empowerment.

Stalin noted that Karunanidhi's life was completely dedicated to advancing the self-respect and democratic dignity of the Tamil people.
