Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin welcomed the Union Government's decision to cancel its controversial advertisement for bureaucratic lateral entry recruitments, describing the withdrawal as a significant initial victory for the forces of social justice. Stalin emphasized that bypassing the constitutional reservation system through arbitrary contractual appointments in senior administrative posts directly threatened the representation of Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes in policy-making spheres.
The Chief Minister stressed that the rollback will only be truly meaningful if the Union administration strictly enforces constitutionally mandated reservation quotas across all government appointments, autonomous educational institutions, public sector enterprises, and central government departments. He pointed out that the DMK and allied progressive parties fought tenaciously against this backdoor recruitment attempt, which threatened to undo decades of affirmative action gains achieved through historic struggles.
Stalin declared that the fight for complete social justice will continue relentlessly until every historically oppressed and marginalized community secures its rightful democratic share in public governance and national administration. He affirmed that the Dravidian Model remains dedicated to defending constitutional reservations and building a just, equitable, and egalitarian society grounded in fairness, dignity, and equal opportunity.
