Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin concluded another successful series of investment negotiations in Chicago, signing an agreement with Eaton Corporation for a 200 crore rupee expansion of its research, development, and engineering centre in Chennai. The engineering expansion project will generate 500 high-skilled technical jobs for engineering graduates and young technical professionals in Tamil Nadu.

During the executive discussions, Stalin also secured an agreement with Assurant to establish the global business services company's first Global Capability Centre in India, choosing Chennai as its operating headquarters. Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa joined the delegation meetings, emphasizing Tamil Nadu's mature talent pool, robust IT infrastructure, and progressive industrial ecosystem that fosters global commercial partnerships.

The Chief Minister stated that Chennai's growing prominence as an international hub for high-end research and global capability operations demonstrates the state's global competitiveness. He emphasized that the Dravidian Model of economic governance actively fosters knowledge-intensive industries that create sustainable, high-paying career avenues for youth.
