Stalin achieved significant industrial breakthroughs in Chicago, signing a 2,000 crore rupee agreement with smart energy solutions leader Trilliant to establish a manufacturing plant and a global support centre in Tamil Nadu. Stalin held productive discussions with senior executives from footwear conglomerate Nike regarding expanding athletic footwear production lines and establishing a specialized design centre in Chennai.
The Chief Minister also met leaders from Optum, a healthcare technology major that already employs 5,000 professionals in the state. Stalin requested Optum to expand its operational footprint to Tier-2 regional cities, specifically Tiruchirappalli and Madurai, to decentralize employment opportunities and build specialized talent pipelines for the healthcare sector.
Stalin highlighted that Tamil Nadu's industrial ecosystem offers exceptional advantages, including uninterrupted power, skilled engineering talent, and investor-friendly administrative facilitation. He affirmed that attracting global technology corporations into both Tier-1 and Tier-2 growth hubs drives balanced regional development across the state. The Chief Minister expressed deep appreciation to corporate partners for their confidence in Tamil Nadu's growth trajectory, emphasizing that sustained investment momentum will secure quality jobs for local youth.
