Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin received an enthusiastic reception from thousands of Tamil residents in Chicago during his official investment delegation tour to the United States. Addressing the gathering, Stalin expressed immense pride in witnessing expatriate Tamils thrive internationally through educational achievement, perseverance, and professional leadership.
The Chief Minister noted that the success of the diaspora reflects the foundational values of the Dravidian movement, which has championed universal education and self-respect for over a century. He commended Tamil families in North America for preserving their mother tongue, heritage, and cultural traditions while contributing prominently to technology, academia, and global commerce. Stalin remarked that their triumphs abroad inspire younger generations across Tamil Nadu to pursue world-class aspirations without losing touch with their native roots.
Stalin affirmed that the state government views non-resident Tamils as vital cultural ambassadors and partners in regional progress. He extended warm greetings for their prosperity and pledged that Tamil Nadu will always support overseas communities through focused diaspora welfare programs. The Chief Minister described the memorable Chicago interaction as an unforgettable highlight of his American mission.
