DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin convened a strategy session with the party coordination committee in Chennai to review organizational arrangements for the upcoming platinum jubilee celebrations and the annual Mupperum Vizha. The landmark gathering marks seventy-five years since the party was founded in September 1949 by C.N. Annadurai.
Stalin reviewed the progress of logistical preparations, cadre mobilization, venue arrangements, and commemorative publications planned across Tamil Nadu. He instructed coordination committee members to ensure that the platinum jubilee functions reflect the movement's historic achievements in advancing social justice, federalism, and inclusive development and widespread public welfare over seven decades of dedicated public service.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the DMK's seventy-fifth milestone represents both a celebration of past struggles and an ideological pledge to protect state autonomy and democratic principles. He called upon party functionaries to engage grass-roots workers across all districts, turning the celebrations into a widespread democratic festival that honors the legacy of Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Stalin directed leaders to coordinate district events efficiently, reinforcing the party's bond with the working people and common citizens of Tamil Nadu.
