Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid respectful homage to freedom fighter and anti-untouchability crusader Tyagi Immanuel Sekaran on his sixty-seventh death anniversary, commemorating his courageous struggle for human dignity and the emancipation of oppressed communities. Stalin praised Sekaran's historic role in challenging caste discrimination, mobilizing marginalized youth, and demanding equal social respect and constitutional civil rights in southern Tamil Nadu.

The Chief Minister recalled Sekaran's multifaceted contributions as a patriotic soldier in the British Indian Army and as an unyielding grassroots organizer who fought relentlessly against oppressive social hierarchies. Stalin highlighted that Sekaran's uncompromising activism laid the foundation for heightened democratic awareness, educational mobilization, and political assertion among oppressed sections of society across the state.

Stalin affirmed that the DMK government is resolutely committed to realizing the vision of equality and social harmony for which Immanuel Sekaran sacrificed his life. He called upon the people of Tamil Nadu to draw inspiration from Sekaran's legacy and work unitedly toward dismantling caste prejudice, fostering communal harmony, and building a truly egalitarian society grounded in social justice, self-respect, and shared human dignity.
