Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the deepening of the state's longstanding industrial partnership with global heavy equipment leader Caterpillar through the signing of a major Memorandum of Understanding in the United States. Under the newly finalized bilateral agreement, Caterpillar will expand its existing construction equipment and powertrain manufacturing operations located in Thiruvallur and Krishnagiri districts, infusing substantial fresh capital into the state's engineering ecosystem.
The Chief Minister thanked Caterpillar's executive leadership for placing renewed confidence in Tamil Nadu's robust industrial ecosystem, skilled technical workforce, and reliable infrastructure. He emphasized that this expansion will generate hundreds of high-quality technical jobs for local youth and strengthen regional supply chains for heavy industrial machinery and equipment components.
Stalin pointed out that attracting repeated investments from Fortune 500 corporations confirms Tamil Nadu's position as India's premier destination for advanced engineering and precision manufacturing. He affirmed that the Dravidian Model government remains dedicated to providing transparent approvals, continuous administrative facilitation, and world-class logistics to ensure the rapid grounding of all pledged investment projects across both northern and western manufacturing corridors of Tamil Nadu.
