Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid floral tributes to freedom fighter, social reformer, and former minister S.S. Ramasamy Padayatchiyar on his birth anniversary at his memorial statue situated at the Halda junction in Guindy, Chennai. Commemorating Padayatchiyar's lifelong crusade for national liberation and backward classes' empowerment, Stalin recalled his close political association and warm personal friendship with DMK stalwarts C.N. Annadurai and M. Karunanidhi.

The Chief Minister recalled that former Chief Minister Karunanidhi had originally installed Padayatchiyar's statue in Guindy to honor his historic role in organizing backward communities and demanding fair legislative representation in post-independence India. Stalin highlighted that Padayatchiyar courageously mobilized rural working people, voiced the legitimate aspirations of oppressed agricultural communities, and championed social equality across northern and central Tamil Nadu regions.

Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model government remains firmly dedicated to honoring social justice pioneers who dedicated their lives to emancipating underprivileged sections of society. He called upon citizens and youth to recall Padayatchiyar's selfless public contributions and continue the collective struggle for equal rights, educational opportunities, and human dignity for all communities statewide.
