DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a passionate commemorative message to party cadres across the world on the momentous occasion of the DMK completing seventy-five years of existence. Quoting revolutionary poet Bharathidasan's famous verses on Dravidian pride, Stalin celebrated the enduring legacy of the party founded by C.N. Annadurai in 1949 and steered through decades of socio-political transformation by M. Karunanidhi.
The Chief Minister described the DMK as an intellectual movement that eradicated centuries of social backwardness, caste hierarchy, and ignorance, while continually laying the foundation for Tamil Nadu's modern economic prosperity. He emphasized that the party has earned the enduring trust of the Tamil people by standing at the forefront of every battle to defend linguistic rights, state autonomy, and secular democracy across India.
Stalin conveyed his heartfelt greetings to millions of dedicated cadres, leaders, and grassroots workers whose selfless labor sustains the Dravidian movement. He warmly invited party members to assemble at the platinum jubilee Mupperum Vizha in Chennai, urging them to rededicate themselves to advancing social justice and democratic progress for future generations of Tamils.
