DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the presidential address at the prestigious DMK Mupperum Vizha celebrations in Chennai, commemorating the birth anniversaries of Periyar E.V. Ramasamy and C.N. Annadurai alongside the party's seventy-fifth founding anniversary. Addressing thousands of delegates, leaders, and cadres, Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK's ideological trajectory remains deeply rooted in the rationalist teachings of Periyar and the democratic vision of Anna.
The Chief Minister highlighted that seventy-five years of sustained political struggle by the DMK transformed Tamil Nadu from a feudal social hierarchy into one of India's most economically advanced and socially egalitarian states. He detailed how progressive welfare policies—such as universal school breakfast, monthly financial assistance for women, and reservations for backward classes—have dismantled historical barriers to human dignity.
Stalin cautioned party cadres against complacency, warning that centralizing forces are continuously seeking to erode state fiscal powers and regional linguistic rights. He called for unwavering cadre unity, disciplined ideological advocacy, and dedicated public service to safeguard Tamil Nadu's autonomy and ensure the continuation of the inclusive Dravidian Model of development across the state.
