Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin convened a review meeting with the young professionals and officers of Guidance Tamil Nadu, the state's nodal investment promotion agency, in Chennai. Commending their proactive efforts in attracting capital investments, Stalin highlighted that sixty percent of the ten lakh crore rupees in industrial investments secured since the DMK government assumed office have already been successfully grounded and operationalized.
The Chief Minister instructed the agency to expedite the execution of the remaining forty percent of pledged investment proposals by resolving regulatory hurdles and speeding up land allocations and clearances. He set a clear and ambitious target for the investment team: creating fifty lakh productive employment opportunities for Tamil Nadu's educated youth across manufacturing, advanced electronics, software engineering, and sunrise sectors.
Stalin emphasized that aggressive industrial promotion must be balanced with inclusive regional distribution, directing new factories to Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns to spur balanced geographical development. He reiterated that the state government will provide continuous institutional backing to the Guidance team, ensuring Tamil Nadu remains India's premier destination for sustainable global investment and high-tech industrial growth.
