DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the keynote address at the DMK platinum jubilee public conference in Kanchipuram, marking seventy-five years of the party's foundation. Addressing a massive gathering of party cadres, delegates, and alliance leaders, Stalin traced the movement's transformative journey from its inception under C.N. Annadurai in 1949 to becoming a cornerstone of social justice and inclusive development in modern India.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the DMK has continually translated radical social reform concepts into durable public policy, establishing equal inheritance rights for women, universal healthcare, state-wide free bus travel, and comprehensive reservation policies. He affirmed that the Dravidian Model of governance demonstrates how regional parties can effectively spearhead industrial modernization while fiercely protecting the civil rights and economic interests of marginalized populations.
Stalin urged the party rank and file to maintain close connections with the people, counter sectarian misinformation, and defend secular constitutional democracy with relentless energy. He concluded that the DMK's historic legacy belongs to every Tamil citizen, pledging that the party will continue fighting for self-respect and regional autonomy into its centenary era.
