Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary, celebrating him as the living embodiment of non-violence, truth, and interfaith harmony. Stalin characterized Gandhi as the moral soul of India, whose philosophical principles of civil resistance and universal brotherhood mobilized millions against colonial subjugation and established secular foundations for the republic.
The Chief Minister observed that Gandhi's ethical message is needed far more urgently in the contemporary political environment than during his own lifetime. He warned against communal forces that seek to divide Indian citizens along religious and caste lines for narrow political gains, stressing that such divisive ideologies directly undermine the constitutional vision of a united and fraternal nation.
Stalin called upon all citizens to defeat sectarian polarization and work collectively to build the inclusive, tolerant India that Mahatma Gandhi envisioned and gave his life for. He affirmed that Tamil Nadu remains dedicated to safeguarding secular democracy, communal harmony, and social equality, offering this unwavering commitment as the true tribute to the Father of the Nation on his birth anniversary.
