Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid tribute to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and national freedom fighter Perunthalaivar K. Kamaraj on his memorial anniversary, honoring his foundational contributions to universal school education and balanced industrialization. Stalin emphasized that Kamaraj's visionary administration laid the permanent groundwork for Tamil Nadu's modern development through groundbreaking midday meal initiatives, rural school openings, and extensive irrigation reservoirs.
The Chief Minister recalled Kamaraj's sacrifices during the freedom movement, where he endured extensive imprisonments without ever compromising on nationalist integrity or the welfare of ordinary citizens. He noted that Kamaraj's political life exemplified integrity, simplicity, and an uncompromising commitment to Gandhian ethical principles, providing an enduring moral compass for public administrators across India.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model governance follows Kamaraj's illuminating path by prioritizing school education through pioneering schemes such as the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme and Pudhumai Penn. He urged contemporary leaders and citizens to draw inspiration from Karmaveerar's selfless life, dedicating themselves to eradicating social disadvantage, expanding educational access, and promoting ethical public service for all citizens across Tamil society, honoring the indelible legacy of Perunthalaivar Kamaraj.
