Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid tribute to saint-philosopher Arutprakasa Vallalar on his birth anniversary, celebrated statewide as Thanip Perung Karunai Naal or the Day of Supreme Compassion since the DMK government assumed office. Stalin invoked Vallalar's teachings against religious sectarianism, hypocrisy, and caste hierarchy, affirming that the nineteenth-century reformer's spiritual philosophy of Samarasa Sutha Sanmarga aligns naturally with the rationalist principles of the Dravidian movement.

The Chief Minister recalled Vallalar's famous warning to avoid hypocrites and resist the divisive grip of religious fanaticism, highlighting his revolutionary feeding initiative in Vadalur that has provided free meals to the hungry uninterrupted for over a century. He noted that the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department has undertaken major developmental projects at Vadalur to honor the saint's legacy of boundless empathy.

Stalin affirmed that his administration governs with the foundational conviction that every living being is entitled to dignity, nourishment, and social harmony without discrimination.
