I am heartened to hear that the #AirIndiaExpress flight has landed safely. Upon receiving news of the landing gear issue, I immediately coordinated an emergency meeting with officials over the phone and instructed them to implement all necessary safety measures, including deploying fire engines, ambulances, and medical assistance.
I have also now directed the District Collector to ensure the continued safety of all the passengers and to provide further assistance.

The flight, carrying one hundred forty-one passengers and crew, experienced a critical hydraulic landing gear malfunction shortly after takeoff, forcing pilots to circle overhead to burn off fuel.
Upon being briefed on the emergency, Stalin immediately convened an urgent telephone coordination conference with senior state bureaucrats, emergency services chiefs, and airport officials. He ordered the immediate dispatch of foam fire tenders, multi-specialty medical teams, and emergency ambulance convoys to tarmac positions to manage any potential runway mishap.
Following the smooth touchdown, Stalin instructed the Tiruchirappalli District Collector to visit the airport, verify the safety of all passengers, and oversee necessary transit arrangements and psychological support. The Chief Minister placed on record his high appreciation for the pilot and flight attendants whose professional composure averted tragedy. He reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu's emergency response apparatus remains always ready to protect citizen lives during critical aviation emergencies, ensuring maximum safety and emergency healthcare preparedness for all travelers.
