Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin fulfilled a key governmental commitment by inaugurating the newly constructed 'Deiveega Thirumaganar U. Muthuramalinga Thevar Arangam' at the sacred Pasumpon memorial in Ramanathapuram district. Stalin recalled that during his visit on the same day the previous year, he pledged that permanent, dignified entrance halls would replace the temporary cloth pandals erected annually for Thevar Jayanthi and Guru Pooja.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the newly constructed twin memorial halls provide spacious, weather-proof facilities with shaded waiting plazas, modern sanitation amenities, and smooth pedestrian access for the lakhs of devotees and citizens visiting the memorial each year. He emphasized that honoring the memory of Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar reflects deep respect for his patriotic contributions, anti-colonial resistance, and socio-religious leadership.
Stalin noted that the DMK government has consistently honored freedom fighters and historical leaders through magnificent memorials, statutory holidays, and welfare initiatives. He reiterated his administration's commitment to preserving cultural heritage and promoting communal harmony, affirming that the new memorial infrastructure stands as a lasting symbol of administrative efficiency, fulfilling promises made to the people of southern Tamil Nadu.
