Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the grand Thanthai Periyar Library and Science Centre in Coimbatore, conceived as the premier intellectual and scientific landmark of western Tamil Nadu. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Stalin announced the firm target completion date for the ambitious modern educational institution, assuring the public of its timely operational inauguration.

During his Coimbatore visit, the Chief Minister also inspected ongoing construction works at the sprawling Semmozhi Poonga botanical park, reviewing landscaped gardens, walking plazas, and eco-friendly recreational infrastructure. Stalin underscored that his administration approaches regional development systematically, ensuring that every district, assembly constituency, and citizen experiences tangible improvements in educational access, civic amenities, and environmental quality.

Stalin emphasized that establishing world-class knowledge centers in major regional cities decentralizes learning opportunities, allowing students and competitive examination aspirants in the Kongu region to access advanced digital libraries and research materials locally.
