Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the groundbreaking economic outcomes achieved under the Annal Ambedkar Business Champions Scheme, describing it as a revolutionary initiative of the Dravidian Model governance to create a dynamic new generation of Dalit and Adivasi entrepreneurs. Stalin noted that affirmative action must expand beyond public employment into business ownership and industrial capital creation to achieve genuine social justice.
Reviewing program performance statistics, the Chief Minister announced that the scheme has successfully supported 1,988 entrepreneurs from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities across Tamil Nadu. The program facilitated commercial bank credit amounting to 453 crore rupees alongside 230 crore rupees in direct government capital subsidies, enabling subaltern entrepreneurs to launch modern manufacturing, service, and transport enterprises.
Stalin welcomed an appreciative editorial published by Dinathanthi newspaper, stating that media recognition validates the government's dedicated efforts to foster inclusive economic development. He reaffirmed that providing collateral-free credit, technical training, and capital subsidies eliminates historical structural disadvantages faced by marginalized youth, assuring that the administration will continue expanding financial resources to build an egalitarian entrepreneurial ecosystem statewide for the benefit of future generations.
