Empowering MSMEs in Tamil Nadu!
Inaugurated the state-of-the-art Precision Engineering & Technology Cluster at Thirumudivakkam #SIDCO. It is the first of its kind for MSMEs in South India, established through a collaborative effort between the Government and MSMEs.
With its focus on innovation, skill development, and cutting-edge technology to boost precision manufacturing, it will be a game-changer for #MSME growth and global competitiveness. More than 3,00,000 MSMEs across the state are set to benefit from this facility.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated South India's first dedicated Precision Engineering and Technology Cluster at the SIDCO Industrial Estate in Thirumudivakkam, Chennai. Established through a public-private partnership between the state government and micro, small, and medium enterprises, the modern industrial facility provides MSMEs with access to advanced machining, prototyping tools, and digital quality testing technologies.
Stalin emphasized that small-scale enterprises form the backbone of Tamil Nadu's industrial prowess, generating widespread employment and supplying crucial precision parts to automotive, aerospace, and defense manufacturing sectors. He noted that establishing shared technology clusters overcomes capital barriers for small entrepreneurs, enabling them to produce international-standard components and compete effectively in global supply chains.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting MSME growth through targeted capital subsidies, subsidized industrial land, and specialized technical skilling programs across all districts. He commended enterprise associations and industry department officials for their collaborative execution, expressing confidence that the Thirumudivakkam precision engineering facility will accelerate high-technology manufacturing and create skilled industrial employment across the Chennai metropolitan corridor, providing strong momentum for regional industrial expansion and advanced technological innovation.
