Chief Minister M.K. Stalin directed DMK Members of Parliament to vigorously confront the Union BJP Government in the upcoming parliamentary session regarding discriminatory fiscal allocations and a decade of neglect suffered by Tamil Nadu. Stalin identified biased tax devolution and the systematic denial of special developmental projects as the foremost economic challenges impeding the state's progress despite its massive contribution to central revenues.
Addressing party parliamentarians, Stalin emphasized that while constituency-level developmental issues must be pursued systematically, the overarching battle for Tamil Nadu's legitimate financial entitlements must be raised with unyielding resolve on the floor of both houses. He noted that despite contributing heavily to national tax revenues, Tamil Nadu receives a disproportionately meager return, while repeated disaster relief requests remain ignored.
The Chief Minister asserted that cooperative federalism cannot survive if the Union Government continues to penalize progressive states that excel in fiscal discipline, industrialization, and human development. He instructed DMK parliamentarians to coordinate with fellow INDIA bloc allies to expose discriminatory budgetary practices, demanding fair tax redistribution and immediate financial approvals for vital state infrastructure projects without political bias.
