On the occasion of Constitution Day, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin led the solemn reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India, reaffirming his administration's steadfast dedication to protecting the foundational democratic, secular, and socialist values enshrined by the framers of the republic. Stalin stated that the visionary aspirations of freedom fighters and social reformers are reflected in the nation's living, evolving constitutional framework, which guarantees equality and civil liberties to every citizen.
The Chief Minister emphasized that reciting the Preamble serves as a vital reminder of the non-negotiable duty of elected governments to defend state autonomy, preserve linguistic pluralism, and uphold social justice against centralizing or divisive political forces. Stalin asserted that the Constitution is not a static legal code, but a dynamic charter that empowers marginalized communities to demand equal dignity and educational advancement through democratic processes.
Stalin called upon public servants, educational institutions, and citizens across Tamil Nadu to internalize constitutional morality and actively resist any effort to erode democratic institutions. He reiterated that the Dravidian Model governance will remain in the forefront of defending constitutional integrity, social fraternity, and human rights throughout the nation.
