Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited and inspected the specialized 24x7 disaster monitoring War Room established by the DMK Information Technology Wing at party headquarters Anna Arivalayam in Chennai. While the state administrative apparatus worked tirelessly in the field executing emergency rescue operations, Stalin observed how digital volunteer networks actively tracked distressed distress messages, social media appeals, and helpline inquiries from citizens affected by Cyclone Fengal.
The Chief Minister reviewed the digital tracking dashboards and communication channels utilized by IT Wing volunteers to map localized inundation, power disruptions, and food requirements across northern districts. Stalin noted that inbound distress alerts are rapidly routed directly to local Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, municipal councilors, and grassroots party cadres stationed across waterlogged wards, ensuring that on-ground assistance reaches stranded families swiftly.
Stalin commended the technology volunteers and party workers for maintaining dedicated coordination between distressed citizens and emergency disaster management authorities. He affirmed that blending technological surveillance with grassroots humanitarian mobilization exemplifies the benevolent welfare ethos of the Dravidian movement, guaranteeing continuous relief delivery until normalcy is fully restored.
