Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin travelled directly to severely affected rural belts in Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts to personally evaluate the localized damages caused by Cyclone Fengal and oversee emergency relief measures. Demonstrating swift administrative decentralization, Stalin coordinated with senior cabinet ministers deployed across heavily impacted coastal and inland belts, ensuring that comprehensive rescue operations proceeded with maximum operational efficiency.
The Chief Minister communicated with Agriculture Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam stationed in flood-affected Cuddalore, reviewed situation reports with Public Works Minister E.V. Velu concerning Tiruvannamalai, and deputed Housing Minister S. Muthusamy to Krishnagiri and Minister Salem R. Rajendran to Dharmapuri to supervise local rescue machinery. Stalin maintained continuous telephonic communication with district collectors across the northern belt, evaluating reservoir discharges, breaches in irrigation tanks, and roadway clearance operations.
Stalin affirmed that the proactive mobilization of senior ministers and experienced administrators directly to vulnerable grassroots zones guarantees rapid crisis response and prevents administrative bottlenecks. He assured citizens that the state machinery remains fully committed to overcoming this natural calamity, promising relentless efforts until complete normal life is restored across all affected districts.
